It’s time for the office debates as John Krasinski takes home the title of People’s Magazine Sexiest Man Alive for the year 2024.
The magazine declared the actor-writer-director as its choice on Tuesday night’s “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”
Krasinski was a cast member in “The Office” before creating the “Quiet Place” movies and hosting the action show “Jack Ryan.” He made a jest in an interview with the magazine stating that he is hoping his wife, actress Emily Blunt, will fulfil a threat to cover the cover as wallpaper in their home.
He succeeds last year’s winner, Patrick Dempsey.
When asked by People magazine about his feelings when he was named the Sexiest Man Alive, Krasinski, 45, said, “Yeah, I just went immediately to blackout, as well.” Zero thoughts.” He said that initially, he believed he was being pranked and that that was not actually real.
He went from a beloved comedian and awkward paper merchant Jim from the U.S. version of the mockumentary ‘The Office’ to a toned, Superman-like hero in ‘Jack Ryan for Amazon, with Tom Clancy character that was played by Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford, and Ben Affleck on the big screen.
He also co-wrote, directed and starred in A Quiet Place that turned into a three-movie series and also originated the now cancelled but pandemic sensation Some Good News web series.
This year in January, he introduced his sixth directorial work, “IF,” a movie for kids who have lost their imaginary friends with Blunt.
The two have children together and they are both girls.
Krasinski shared in an interview to People weekly magazine on stand on Friday that the honour maybe followed by more than just ribbing at home.
He laughed and said, “I think it’s going to make me do more of these household chores.”
It has been four decades since the debut of the title, the first Sexiest Man Alive was Mel Gibson. Previous winners include Brad Pitt, George Clooney, John F. Kennedy Jr., David Beckham, Michael B. Jordan, John Legend, Dwayne Johnson, Paul Rudd and Pierce Brosnan.
