The government of India has now decided to give gradual relaxation in visas and travel restrictions for foreign nationals and Indian nationals desirous of visiting or visiting India. For this reason, all OCI and PIO card holders and all other foreign nationals are required to enter India for any purpose, except for a tourist visa to enter by air or water routes through immigration check posts of authorized airports and ports. It has been decided to allow arrival. This includes flights operated by the Vande Bharat Mission, any non-scheduled commercial flights under the arrangement of the air transport bubble or as permitted by the Ministry of Civil Aviation. However all such passengers will have to strictly follow the guidelines of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare regarding Quarantine and other Health / Kovid-19 cases.
The Government of India took several steps in February 2020 to curb the movement and movement of international travelers in view of the situation arising out of the Kovid-19 epidemic.
Under this hierarchical exemption, the Government of India has decided to reinstate all existing visas (except electronic visas, tourist visas and medical visas) with immediate effect. If the validity of such visas has expired, then new visas of appropriate categories can be obtained from the respective Indian Mission / Posts. Foreign nationals desirous of coming to India for medical treatment can apply for their medical attendants with medical visas. Therefore, this decision will enable foreign citizens to come to India for various purposes like business, conference, employment, studies, research, medicine etc.
